Mont Alto Recreation Area
Located on Spruce Street off Route 233 (Park Street) and spans to Constitution Avenue, Mont Alto, PA 17237
*** Part of the park was developed in the 1920’s and was expanded in the 1970’s
Small Pavilion with volley ball court before upgrade.
Applications taken beginning January 1st of each year.
Hours of Operation: dawn to dusk.
The Pavilions are available April through October.
One of the two playground areas.
Lighted, shaded, paved walkway winds around the area
Two pavilions are available.
Large Pavilion
Contains 14 Tables, Electric and Access to Restrooms
Small Pavilion
Contains 6 Tables, has Electric
Families can enjoy an 8-acre park, paved tennis and basketball courts, beach volleyball area, and two baseball fields. In the spring and early summer you will find teams playing games on the large field and Little League games on the smaller field. Check our calendar for games or also rental dates. The concession stand is often open during games. Children can enjoy brightly colored playground equipment, where they can swing, climb, crawl, bounce and slide. Walkers and joggers can enjoy the comfort of walking on stone walkways that wind around the well maintained park.

KEY DEPOSIT Of $10.00 is in addition to the rental fee and should be paid in cash . WHEN KEY IS RETURNED the $10.00 cash will be returned.
To reserve either of the pavilions all you need do is to stop by our office and pay the appropriate
fees to receive the current Ordinance

WAR MEMORIAL
Constructed with state grant money and completed in October 2008 pays
tribute to local residents who have served in the military since Wold War II and
honors all veterans who have made it their duty to protect the nation and its people.
Veterans of the United State Military
Take a walk around our park and enjoy the beauty that can be found here. There are several benches located throughout. With a special granite bench which has been placed with a plaque honoring Sgt. Shaffer’s memory across from the park’s World War Memorial by his family. As you stroll through the park you will come to the Veterans Memorial and the bricks that are placed there currently. You will find six brick pavers placed at the front of the Memorial for those who gave their life while on active duty. The borough will continue to take orders for the Veterans Memorial Paver at a cost of $35.00 each, forms are available on this web site or you can come to the office and pick one up. Guidelines are also found with the form.
MEMORY LANE
Newly added to the Recreation Area is Memory Lane (please check for the signed walkway designated for this area) you are invited to place bricks in Memory of family and friends. The charge for the bricks is $35.00 forms are available at the office or by following the link found here.
