Situated on the West Branch of the Little Antietam Creek in south-central Pennsylvania, the Borough of Mont Alto was first incorporated in 1913. Mont Alto is proud to be the home of a Penn State University campus as well as the Mont Alto State Park. History and culture are never far away. Mont Alto is located 20 miles West of Gettysburg and just 8 miles north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Harrisburg, Hershey, Baltimore, and Washington DC are all within a few hours drive from Mont Alto.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY THE MONT ALTO BOROUGH OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED
The office WILL NOT be accessible to any residents or additional traffic until further notice.
However, the office will remain open conducting daily operations during the COVID-19 Crises.
Payments can be made via our drop box (located on the side porch door), US Postal Service, online credit card, money order or cash. When making payments with cash, any over-payment will be applied to your account.
